About Sean O’Leary
Am I grumpy or wise? Maybe a bit of both!
Observing many great people and their projects that I have worked on I see an ever weakening of natural connection – both for people between one another and with nature. There is a loneliness epidemic growing stronger and peoples health, creativity and joy are suffering.
For fifteen years I have been tracking and researching this trend, observing governments across the world appoint ministers for loneliness yet any policy implementations seem to offer little remedy. It is now understood scientifically that loneliness is the greatest single cause of cancers.
I see every day people walk down the street either lost in their phones or looking at the ground, like they are lost in thought. As I stand in queues for a cup of coffee it appears that people have been conditioned to avoid conversation, programmed to fear engagement with the person standing beside them. This seems sad and makes me feel awkward.
I believe in the beautiful nature of people and just know that there are so many like me who would love to chat. If we could only recognise each other as we go about our daily lives.
In my coaching work and in life I have seen great change by helping people find new friends. They rediscover their joy and greatness as it is reflected back to them by others. At the very core of this I love helping people find their true voice, find there centre from where creativity and joy flows.
